From the Pharosiran Case Files

An international technology company hired Pharosiran's forensics investigators to determine if an executive who accepted a job with a competitor stole proprietary company information. The hard drive from the executive's notebook and desktop computers were forensically examined.

Pharosiran's analysis revealed that, the night before he left, the executive downloaded all of the company's manufacturing specifications and distributor agreements from the company's server, which he then emailed to the competitor. Additionally, reconstruction of deleted files identified emails exchanged between the executive and the competitor revealing the executive's intent to provide the proprietary information if he was offered additional stock options in the new company.
